BRITIRA

Ireland has a particularly bloody history, that involves eight centuries of British invasion and occupation, which includes, genocide, holocaust, war crimes and ethnic cleansing. In the interest of fairness, every story has at least two sides, and so it is with Irish history. The problem for the native Irish, is that few are aware of their side, because, to a large extent Britain dominates the English narrative of world media, and usually the victor, gets to write history. The other difficulty with outing the truth, is that the ruling class in both parts of the currently divided island, have a vested interest, in preserving the status quo, which is based on mentored privilege, dishonesty, covert censorship and oppression.

This writer believes, that the truth of Ireland's Cause, taken to a sufficient number of people worldwide, and to the International Criminal Court, can achieve national freedom, without recourse to violence, reserving all armaments, for strictly defensive purposes. However, this will require the same organization, commitment and concerted effort, that traditionally was used in Ireland's armed struggles. Reactionary violence has proven to be self-defeating, time after time in Ireland's history, and the events of limited success, hves been followed, by sell-out, self-serving, native leadership. Irish Republicanism has traditionally been the Cause of the People of No Property, or as James Connolly, one of the principal leaders of the 1916 Rising, who was taken for execution in a wheelchair, said, the Cause of Ireland, is the Cause of Labour, and the Cause of Labour, is the Cause of Ireland. Irish hearts are passionate and discipline, to refrain from reactionary, violence, difficult, but as one of our more intelligent martyrs, Mairead Farrell recently said, before her execution, our head is our best weapon. I believe enlightened leadership in Ireland, needs to release all political prisoners, with an undertaking, to this course of action, rather than violence. Genuine traditional Irish Republicans, are both fair-minded and people of honour, who keep their promises, unlike their political British counterparts, as history has proven. You can come to your own conclusion, if this is the case, in the McGuinness story below. The Truth will set Ireland Free, but we need your help, to get it out there, as it is mostly, censored. Below is a reliable article, borrowed from the Broken Elbow, a blog I recommend, to help you come to your own conclusions
.

Martin McGuinness & Frank Hegarty

The story of how Martin McGuinness allegedly lured Derry IRA informer Frank Hegarty back from England, promising his mother – on bended knee according to accounts – that he would not be harmed, only for Hegarty to end up on a lonely country road with a bullet in his head has been told here, here, here and here.

Doubtless it will figure again in the course of the Presidential campaign and will be used by his opponents and enemies as evidence of the man’s flawed character and unfitness to represent the people of Ireland in the Phoenix Park.

I am not going to rehearse the story here but I thought it might be useful to place the McGuinness-Hegarty tale in the context of the time it happened, 1986, and the politics of the then IRA leadership. That way it might be possible to understand why it happened.

The story begins in February 1978 when Gerry Adams was arrested and charged with IRA membership just a few days after the awful La Mon tragedy when a botched firebombing of the hotel on the outskirts of east Belfast killed twelve people, all Protestants, who were incinerated to death, and injured thirty more, some horribly.

The move against Adams was done to placate angry Unionist public opinion, understandably, but the charge of IRA membership was impossible to sustain – short of self-incrimination membership charges were never successful. But it did keep Adams off the streets for the best part of a year. He had been released from Long Kesh a year or so earlier and had set about implementing the re-organisation he, Ivor Bell, Brendan Hughes and others had plotted in jail. So placing him in the remand wing of Crumlin Road jail removed a key player at an important moment.

Changes in security policy introduced after the lengthy but ineffective ceasefire of 1974/75, especially the use of Castlereagh interrogation centre, had brought the IRA to its knees and close to defeat. Adams’ re-organisation, principally the introduction of a new Northern Command, was beginning to revive the IRA when La Mon happened.

With his arrest Adams automatically lost the post of Chief of Staff, which he had just taken from Seamus Twomey, and so Martin McGuinness, then Northern Commander, replaced him. The subsequent three or four years were to provide dramatic evidence that the IRA was indeed back in business and while not the force it had been in 1972, it was nonetheless strong enough to sustain the ‘long war’ crafted in Long Kesh. It was during these years that the rank and file trust in the Adams-McGuinness leadership was created, a trust that would prove so valuable when the peace process began.

By the summer of 1982 however the IRA was set on a different path. The hunger strikes of 1981 had created an opportunity for Sinn Fein to enter electoral politics. Owen Carron had replaced Bobby Sands as MP for Fermanagh-South Tyrone, a council seat had been won in Carrickmore, Co. Tyrone but the big test, Sinn Fein standing in a Northern Ireland-wide election, was yet to come. That October it did when the British held elections to a new putative power-sharing Assembly, a body doomed to failure by the result which saw Sinn Fein win ten per cent of the vote and stun the Irish political and media establishment.

Martin McGuinness badly wanted to stand in that poll. He knew he was popular enough in Derry to win a seat and such was the level of post-hunger strike Nationalist anger in the city that he might even give John Hume a scare. The problem was that he was Chief of Staff and others on the Army Council bridled at the thought of their commander holding a seat at Stormont, even on an abstentionist basis.

So McGuinness was obliged to give up the post, handing it to Ivor Bell, one of Gerry Adams’ closest colleagues in the Belfast IRA. Less than a year later however Bell was also arrested and briefly held on charges based on evidence given by Belfast Brigade supergrass Robert ‘Beano’ Lean. Although Lean later retracted, Bell lost the Chief of Staff job which went to Aughnacloy man, Kevin McKenna. (A few years later Bell was forced out of the IRA altogether when his unease at Sinn Fein’s political direction and anger and suspicion at the deprioritisation of the IRA combined to persuade him to launch a tilt at Adams which failed). It is around this time that the Frank Hegarty story really begins.

During his tenure as Chief of Staff, Ivor Bell had dismissed Frank Hegarty from the IRA. A member of the organisation since the early 1970’s, Hegarty had risen to the post of Northern Command Quartermaster (QM) by 1982, a significantly important job. But he was also having an affair with the wife of a soldier in the Ulster Defence Regiment, the mostly Protestant militia created in 1970 to replace the B Specials. Someone in the IRA found out about Hegarty’s dalliance and reported him. Clearly his liaison made him vulnerable to blackmail and since he was now regarded as a potential informer Hegarty had to go.

Some time after that Hegarty was approached by the Force Research Unit (FRU), a British Army agent-running unit with headquarters at Thiepval Barracks, Lisburn and persuaded to rejoin the IRA which he did. How no red flag was raised in the IRA at Hegarty’s return would become one of the divisive issues in the affair, especially as he also managed to inveigle his way back into the Northern Command quartermaster’s department.

The Force Research Unit had ambitious plans for Hegarty telling him, as the IRA learned when they eventually interrogated him, that they wanted him to rise as high as he could, even as high as Quartermaster General (QMG). The FRU would remove his bosses, one by one, to facilitate his ascent.

By the end of 1985 Hegarty had been seconded to work on attachment to the QMG’s department to help shift weapons which were beginning to arrive from Libya. A year or so earlier Libyan Intelligence and the IRA had struck an audacious and ambitious deal. The Libyans would supply hundreds of tons of weaponry and millions of pounds if the IRA pledged to make life for Mrs Thatcher’s government uncomfortable, something the IRA had no difficulty agreeing. It was Libya’s revenge for the expulsion of their diplomats after the shooting of WPC Yvonne Fletcher while the IRA then laid plans for a major military offensive, based on the Vietnamese ‘Tet’ offensive, designed to sicken British public opinion with Northern Ireland and perhaps force the British to take counterproductive security measures such as internment.

Hegarty was part of a squad that moving some 80 AK-47’s smuggled in from Libya in August 1985 to dumps in the north-west. The weapons were stored in two temporary dumps in Roscommon and Sligo when they were discovered. The Garda Special Branch were ultimately responsible for everything that happened afterwards. Eager for a coup against the IRA the Garda insisted on raiding the dumps, ignoring British advice to ‘jark’ the weapons instead, that is bug them so they could be followed to their destination.

Hegarty had been told that the weapons had come from Europe and the presence of some Belgian rifles in the dumps seemed to authenticate that. Nonetheless British & Irish intelligence had come very close to discovering the Libyan arms smuggling venture at a very early point.

Realising that his past expulsion from the IRA would surface when the IRA investigated the arms seizure and that he would then be the prime suspect for betraying the weapons, Hegarty fled to England where MI5 housed him at a secure location. Homesick and missing his family Hegarty contacted them by phone, the Provos found out and at this point Martin McGuinness entered the story. He was enticed back home, naively believing McGuinness’ assurances about his wellbeing, interrogated by the IRA’s Internal Security Unit and then killed.

So why did Martin McGuinness go out of his way to cajole Hegarty back to Derry? It was, after all, a high-risk enterprise. He must have known that Hegarty had no chance of surviving and that he would be killed. He also knew that Hegarty’s family would be angry with him for so blatantly misleading them and that in all likelihood they would make their feelings known publicly and blame him for the killing. His name and reputation would be sullied for ever. He could have sent someone else to lie to the Hegarty family but he knew that Hegarty would accept assurances from no-one with less clout and authority in the IRA than himself. It was, we can then conclude, enormously important for McGuinness not just that Hegarty be brought back to Derry but that McGuinness be known as the man who brought him back. Again the question, why?

The answer might well lie in the intense rivalry and mutual dislike between Martin McGuinness and Kevin McKenna and the vying between them for the Chief of Staff job. According to IRA sources who knew the two men well and observed them in action, a deep loathing characterised the relationship.

For his part McKenna, a very private, publicity-shy figure, deeply resented constant media reports that McGuinness was the real Chief of Staff and more so that, as someone who was one of the more media-friendly Provo leaders, he had done very little to discourage that impression. McGuinness on the other hand, according to former colleagues, harboured ambitions to get his old Chief of Staff job back, especially so when the Libyan deal was struck. If there was an IRA ‘Tet’ offensive, Martin McGuinness wanted to be known as the man who led it. And McKenna stood in his way.

By late 1985, Kevin McKenna had been Chief of Staff for just two years but already there had been some bitter clashes between them at leadership meetings. At one Army Council meeting McGuinness launched such a powerful assault on McKenna’s stewardship of the IRA that it seemed as if the Chief of Staff might be forced to offer his resignation. Only the intervention of ‘Slab’ Murphy to show support for McKenna stopped that happening.

The Garda swoop on the Libyan arms dumps and Hegarty’s flight to England brought a new and deadly intensity to the rivalry. The first question was how on earth Frank Hegarty had got back into the IRA? Since both McGuinness and Hegarty were Derry men who had been in the city’s IRA units together in the 1970’s & knew each other, and since McGuinness was now Northern Commander and Hegarty was attached to Northern Command then surely, McKenna and others asked, McGuinness must have known that he had got back into the IRA?

The question was full of unspoken menace and danger for McGuinness. The IRA knew full well that when British intelligence wanted to infiltrate and advance agents inside their ranks they would sometimes use other agents to smooth their path. If McGuinness had allowed Hegarty back into the IRA knowing his past, then this made McGuinness a suspected British agent. McGuinness denied, according to these IRA sources, knowing anything about Hegarty’s re-instatement and initially said the informer must have been someone else (during his interrogation by the IRA Hegarty claimed that McGuinness had in fact known and approved his return to the ranks. This sparked another blazing row between McGuinness and McKenna but Hegarty’s assertion was unprovable).

One way of clearing his name, or at least going some way to doing so, would be if McGuinness were to play a leading part in luring Hegarty back to Derry and to his death. It wouldn’t settle the matter since the IRA was well aware that British intelligence would have little compunction in sacrificing one, now useless informer to protect another active and more valuable one but it would suffice until some more compelling evidence against McGuinness emerged, if it ever did.

None of this means that McGuinness was an informer. But it does suggest that he was frightened of being labeled one and that if he didn’t act to clear his name, his arch-rival Kevin McKenna would triumph and his IRA career might be so clouded with doubt and suspicion that it would be effectively over. As it was the Frank Hegarty affair killed off any chances that McGuinness would oust McKenna and replace him as Chief of Staff. McKenna would serve as Chief of Staff for another eleven years until he was replaced in 1997 by ‘Slab’ Murphy. He was the Provisional IRA’s longest serving commander. McGuinness survived and has prospered so well that he is now a contender for the Aras.

Postscript: Frank Hegarty’s FRU handler was Ian Hirst, better known as Martin Ingram and the man who outed Freddie Scappaticci, the notorious British agent in the IRA’s Internal Security Unit whose codename was Steaknife. Handlers often get very attached to their agents and there’s no doubt that Ian/Martin was deeply affected by Hegarty’s death. I have often wondered if his understandable anger at McGuinness for coaxing Hegarty to his death led him to make his own, later allegations that McGuinness worked as a double agent for MI6.Intriguing stuff, but will we ever get definitive answers to all these questions?

RIDING THE GOAT KIDS

A

When Father Rode The Goat
The house is full of arnica
And mystery profound;
We do not dare to run about
Or make the slightest sound;
We leave the big piano shut
And do not strike a note;
The doctor’s been here seven times
Since father rode the goat.
He joined the lodge a week ago —
Got in at 4 a.m.
And sixteen brethren brought him home
Though he says he brought them.
His wrist was sprained and one big rip,
Had rent his Sunday coat —
There must have been a lively time
When father rode the goat.
He’s resting on the couch to-day!
And practicing his signs —
The hailing signal, working grip,
And other monkeyshines;
He mutters passwords 'neath his breath,
And other things he'll quote —
They surely had an evening’s work
When father rode the goat.
He has a gorgeous uniform,
All gold and red and blue;
A bat with plunges and yellow braid,
And golden badges too.
But, somehow, when we mention it,
He wears a look so grim
We wonder if he rode the goat
Or if the goat rode him.

by Greg Campbell

Riding the goat, as everyone knows, is a fundamental part of Orange Order culture, indeed the Orange State of Occupied Ireland is based on it. When I was being interrogated in Gough Barracks by the British, I noticed in the photographs thrown in front of me, that several of the goats raped, were in fact kid goats, and while I try not to be judgemental, I was frankly disgusted. So you can imagine my reaction, several years later, when a very expensive inquiry, in the Blueshirt state of the south of Ireland, found that there was systemic human kid rape in that state also. This is part of the horrific history of the Island, since the foundation of the two scum states, founded by Britain, to look after it's interests by proxy, as in their Commonwealth, after their limited official colonial departure. The secrecy around both human and goat kid rape, served British interests well, in that it is an excellent tool, to manipulate the political, judicial, media, etc., instruments of state, with secret blackmail and mentoring. Grooming and manipulation are essential parts, of the dark art of kid rape, cultivated for centuries, by the secret state of Whitehall in London.

Let there be no mistake about it, the history of John Bull is a brutal bullying one, of extreme sadism, cultivated in his public schools and executed primarily, in Britain's first colony Ireland, over eight centuries ago. The size of Ireland relative to England, is similar in size but Ireland's total population, is today, one tenth of their neighbour. We can factor in all sorts of equations into this reality but at it's core is the fact, that at the minimum, more the equivalent of Ireland's population today, were victims of British genocide, somewhere in the region of seven million people, which any honest researcher, can confirm for themselves independently. This core fact, is just one of the truths, that can set Ireland free, when exposed, at the International Criminal Court and elsewhere uncensored. If Irish Republicans, put half their co-ordinated energy, into exposing these facts, in our modern age of communication, rather than engaging in reactionary violence, we will liberate ourselves and our people. Of course, it is much easier for me to write this, in my current location with detachment, far from the immediate trauma of conflict, rather than those current victims, caught up, in the web of British Dirty War brutality in Ireland.

Take for example, the many current POWs (Prisoners of War) in Maghaberry, Occupied Ireland. Two days ago the British sent in their Orange sectarian thugs, in the uniform of a riot squad, to quell a peaceful protest, by prisoners, in horrific conditions of incarceration. These sectarian thugs in British uniform, danced on the heads of Irish prisoners and battered them, to the point of serious injuries, then leaving the prisoners, locked up in their cells, in agony, with serious physical injuries, unattended to. They then as usual, sanitized their behaviour, with their considerable PR machine, excusing it on the basis of some graffiti, written on a toilet wall, threatening the prison administration. Now I don't know the complete truth of the graffiti, it could have been written by anyone, but I do know, that the wives and children of the prisoners are currently distraught with worry, about the condition of their loved ones. The communities of the POWs are enraged about this incessant British brutality and bullying. There were protesters from all over Ireland, outside the prison gates in a state of fury about all of this. The families and lawyers  of the POWs are not allowed to communicate, with any of their loved ones, or ascertain their condition, as they are in total lockdown. Now you don't have to be Einstein to figure, that this is not by any means, peace process procedure or to figure out, where this recipe is all leading.

The bottom line is, that Britain is ignoring EU Law, with regard to the treatment of prisoners, indeed I would suggest, they are being purposely and intentionally provocative, to hide even further, behind the provoked fog, of their Dirty War in Ireland, while excusing their own criminality and bullying in Ireland. They have signed up to European Law and are obliged to honour their commitments, both to that Law and a 2010 Agreement with Irish POWs. Now, once again, they are going down the Thatcher route, and Irish Republicans know from, decades of experience, exactly where that is leading. Having being through the trauma of the last 10 Hunger Strike deaths of Irish POWs already, Irish people, never want to experience that trauma again. It is a life changing event for whole communities. The fact is, that the island of Ireland is a very sick place, as a result, of centuries of all of this, coupled with, corrupt, proxy, administrations, based on kid rape. International help is badly needed, to help resolve these issues and help people recover from the damage British genocide has done to the Irish psyche. Other than the International Criminal Court, this writer, cannot see any other honest broker, who can help resolve this, in the absence of any honest, native, politicians who seem to be all dehumanized, but I am more than open, to any other possible solutions, wherever they come from, that are realistic and considered.

The War Prayer

By Mark Twain

O Lord our God, help us to tear their soldiers to bloody shreds with our shells; help us to cover their smiling fields with the pale forms of their patriot dead; help us to drown the thunder of the guns with the shrieks of their wounded, writhing in pain; help us to lay waste their humble homes with a hurricane of fire; help us to wring the hearts of their unoffending widows with unavailing grief; help us to turn them out roofless with little children to wander unfriended the wastes of their desolated land in rags and hunger and thirst,

Video Markos Production

Twain dictated it around 1904-05; it was rejected by his publisher and was found after his death among his unpublished manuscripts. It was first published in 1923 in Albert Bigelow Paine's anthology, Europe and Elsewhere.

BLOODY SUNDAY INTERNATIONAL DIRTY WAR CRIMINALS

It is nonsense to pretend, that the massacres of the Innocent on Bloody Sunday in Derry and other subsequent massacres by British forces in Occupied Ireland, carried out on such a large scale, happened without the knowledge and sanction of senior British officers, right up to the Commander in Chief. Gen Sir Frank Kitson has good reason to hide from the International Criminal Court and will not co-operate voluntarily with any International proceedings. In one of his books he provides sufficient incriminating evidence, of his Crimes against Humanity. One example of his brutality before he came to Ireland, where he writes about his knowledge of a suspected Mau Mau, who was hiding under a basket of clothes. He knew he was there and he plunged his bayonet, into the bundle until he ‘felt the satisfaction of the blade finding its target, while the man howled in pain.’ This is the same sadistic philosophy of British Army training in Kitson's time, where soldiers were taught before they went to the middle-east, to plunge their bayonets into the victim, pull it out and plunge it back in again, to make sure they were dead. While their superiors of the elite, were blooded in their traditional foxhunt as children, with the blood of the fox, smeared on their innocent cheeks. This was the same sadism, coupled with a conditioning of elitist prejudice, which regards the Irish and colonial natives, as sub-human, before going abroad, to build the Empire. Their own working class are brutalized, to the extent, of automatically carrying out orders of murder on reflex, with brutal efficency. Refusal means court martial and up to the second World War, execution.

Gen Sir Frank Kitson was promoted after Bloody Sunday and his Dirty War in Ireland, to Aide-De-Camp to the Commander in Chief of British forces, his Queen. His books and theories have become official British Government policy, which includes using the courts and media, as an extension of Dirty War and a superficial veneer of civilization, to hide Dirty War. Today in Occupied Ireland many Irish freedom fighters, along with many innocents, are jailed for the rest of their lives without a jury, by sectarian judges, with corrupted evidence, from sectarian police, who have a vested material career interest, in finding a conviction. Collaborating, careerist, politicians are mentored for the same reason. Kitsons theories have become, standard judicial, political and media practice, jettisoning hundred of years of an evolved justice system, such as the Magna Carta, Habeas Corpus and the right to trial by jury of peers, for any serious crime. Kitson's Dirty War theory, not alone became standard practice, just in the UK military, but also for the US, where he lectured to their war colleges while turning the evolved British Justice System into a Dirty Judiciary, with the help of some False Flags of course. The innocent Guildford Four and the Birmingham Six were wrongly convicted by corrupted evidence in a media corrupted open court, what chance an Irishman or woman, in a secret British military court? The two innocent teenagers in the picture at the top of this post, are just two examples of it, while compromised, collaborators, are calling for Irish people, to become informers to these British Occupation forces???

The centuries of history, of well-documented, British genocide in Ireland, is till happening covertly. The Junta that includes Kelly and McGuinness, are becoming more and more part of the problem, not the solution. It is a mirror image of the crimes against humanity, committed by former British agents in Ireland, called the Blueshirts, to carry on their Dirty Wars on their behalf, after their official departure. McGuinness and Kelly would do well, to consider, how far down that road, they wish to collaborate in future British crimes against humanity, before they too stand in the dock alongside the British at the International Criminal Court, in their lust for the drug of power. I have been told, it will never happen, but I have also witnessed in my own lifetime the folly of using the word 'never.' We are living in a world of rapidly developing communication, where despite rampant state censorship, the truth is outing, with the only glue holding matters tentatively together, being international standards. McGuinness and Kelly are rapidly reaching a point, where more and more questions, will be asked, about the extent of their collaboration, past and present, with regard to British crimes against humanity. Maybe Gerry Kelly was still in Amsterdam or in other British Accommodation and doesn't recall, when they were calling, 'Gerry Fitt is a Brit' on the streets of Derry and Belfast and burned him out, but the street is always watching and never forgets. They may kill Charlie Hebdo not the pen and they may kill the Innocents of Derry but not the Court of last Resort. Arrest Frank Kitson and his collaborating British War Criminals.

ICC STOP DIRTY WAR CRIMES OF BLOODY SUNDAY

"The Path to Wisdom is through Excess and the most Valuable Ingredient of Life, is Experience" Quote of Elders

The Palestinian Authority and Hamas have welcomed the International Criminal Court’s decision, to launch an investigation into alleged “war crimes” in the Palestinian Occupied Territories. They have welcomed it, as a “positive and significant step, toward achieving justice and respecting international law.” The Palestinian Authority's purpose in joining the ICC, is “putting an end to Israeli War Crimes and Crimes against Humanity.

”Palestinians are seeking, to bring perpetrators of war crimes, to international justice, to protect Palestinians from becoming victims of future violations.” Hamas have also praised the ICC decision and called for all effort to bring Israeli leaders to trial. Hamas are prepared to provide the ICC, with documents and reports of Israeli war crimes in the Gaza Strip. Palestinians have waited many years for this.

Irish Blog is proposing, that an Irish Authority of Irish Occupied Territories, legally begin proceedings at the ICC, for a similar investigation in Ireland, to bring to trial, British leaders of war crimes and genocide in Ireland. The proposal recommends, that the following Authority, of trusted Elders, instigate, guide and expedite this matter immediately, at the annual Commemoration March for Justice on Sunday February 1st.

It is proposed that the Irish Authority, consisting of Bernadette Devlin McAliskey, Eamon McCann, Marian Price, Francis Mackie, Kate Nash, Martin Corey and Owen Carron, with possible agreed additions, to transcend party politics. It is proposed that this begin immediately, with a conference call among the Authority elders, to enable members, who are restricted by the British Occupation forces, from attending or traveling outside their local village. The proposal, also calls for a ceasefire, by both British and Irish forces, to enable a civilized conclusion of hostilities, to enable a fair ruling, as per International Standards of Law and Justice.

This proposal is currently censored by various types of intranets and calls for anyone seconding and supporting the proposal, to distribute, share, publish, with family, friends, and the media at every opportunity. It also calls on you, to bring it to the attention of all parties concerned, immediately. It also calls on International support and solidarity to enable the proposal, to have an inclusive, international, platform.

DIRTY WAR BLOODY SUNDAY

In my teenage years before Bloody Sunday, I used to go to the Hangar in Salthill, after a few pints in O'Connors. My favourite group at that time, was the Freshmen, who used to play a lot in Seapoint, their religion and political allegiance, were irrelevant. Belfast was producing the best music in Ireland, in my opinion at that time, including Van Morrison and other blues groups, who did a lot of the backing for some the top groups worldwide on their vinyl releases.

I loved music and in particular dancing. It was one of the outlets, to express how I felt, and these groups turned me on. Thin Lizzie were just starting at that time and they were great for headbanging. Most people "jived" at that time, but with a few pints in me, I would cut loose on the floor and I didn't give a phuck what people thought. I learned years later, how to do this sober and it was a great outlet for pent-up emotion and there was also something spiritual about it.

A lot of people used to come down from the north of Ireland to Salthill, from the north in July, to get away from the Orangemen and the troubles they created, with their marching and "Taig" bashing season. I was working in O'Learys bar at the time and I used to give them free drink. Then the fights between the Stickies and the Provos started and they wrecked the place.

I met Cathleen in the Hangar, we danced a few dances including a few slow ones, which was really sex standing up. We chatted and I learned Cathleen was from the Arran Islands and she worked in one of the Hotels for the Summer season. Well I could feel Cathleen wanted it as much as I did, but in those days we did not have a pad or anything like it. So we went out into a field at the back of the Hangar.

Now again, these were the days of Catholic Ireland before the Cosmopolitan rag and birth control pills, so everything was up for grabs and our clothes came off, except our blue jeans. Well between Cathleen's hunger for a bit of rough and my own, it was hell for leather. Now I don't know about teenagers these days but it was raw and pure sexual passion.

We were grinding with our jeans, from after midnight, until the crack of dawn. Now that's a long time for a couple with their jeans on, and Cathleen had as much sexual power, if not more than I had. Anyway she dug her clawing nails, into my bare back as she craved coileach, the whole night long, while she tore the skin off it.

At dawn being the gentle soul that I was back then, I crawled back as best we could, with her to her room in Bushypark, which seemed an eternity away to my bandy legs, sore crotch and bleeding back. That was the last I saw of Cathleen but I did have a session with her sister, the night before she got married the following year. That was Catholic sex back then, which later, with a couple of Convent beoirs fromTuam, introduced me, to the concept of three in a bed.

I worked as a barman at that time, in a lot of the pubs in Salthill, until I became a computer technician, and Galway was a place of fun in those times, but this all changed after Bloody Sunday. The British Embassy was burned down in Dublin and most of the young fellows I knew, were either going up to Derry to join the IRA or talking about it. Like the lads from the north however, this question, of joining either the Official IRA or the Provisional IRA, was a very hot issue and many a good friendship was lost over it.The Brits and their agents, along with ego, were cultivating this division, as are their agents today, between Irish people from both the north and the south of Ireland.

So right from the off, the Brits had us where they wanted us, divided, with Martin McGuinness from Derry, a leading player in all of this. I will not elaborate further, for obvious reasons and I am not going into the realm of speculation, you can do that yourself, but unlike Owen Carron he wasn't anywhere to be seen, after the Brits butchered the innocent

Anyway, the days of wine and roses, turned to pure rage and hatred after that. In hindsight, it is easy to be wise, and know that reactionary violence is not smart and is ultimately self-destructive. Dirty War is a dark art, mastered by the British, with the unlimited resources of Empire, under the cloak and protection, of a rotten British justice system, that includes political internment and outsourced torture.

The Brits with all their experience in their colonies, know the script from the off and were prepared, being the clever manipulators they are, they took full advantage of the ensuing provoked rage, to conduct their Kitson experiments, that later evolved into to Abu Ghraib, False Flag operations, counter gangs, astroturf political entities, to create political parties, to do their bidding worldwide after exit, with covert neo-colonialism, which incidentally includes the united snakes of a,b,c,d....etc.

Eventually like my father before me and many an Irishman since, I took the boat from our impoverished land of Saints and Scoundrels to England, where I squatted in the pad, of the framed, innocent Guilford Four. Those were the "hippy" days in Maida Vale and London of John Lennon's time, of give peace a chance, who later met his fate in New York.

It was there, I met a wee woman from a locality, known as the Murder Triangle, in County Armagh, where 120 innocent people were murdered by the British police known as the RUC and the British Army known as the UDR.The people who tried to defend the community were locked up and spent most of their live in jails.

We got married and had five children. One of the primary political motivations, that kept me going, in the ensuing years, was that my children, would be free of all of this one day and have a decent chance at life. Well, Britain's Dirty War in Ireland Ireland still continued for many a year, in fact it still does, albeit more subtly, which led, to what in my opinion, was a Pseudo Peace Process, built on half-truths and the creation of British Sinn Fein.

The reason I use those terms, is that after the British felt they had "sanitized" the situation, i.e. killing or interning any real resistance, a tinkered agreement of sorts, included the disbandment of the now disgraced RUC paramilitary police, to be replaced with an illusionary proper police force, the called "PSNI," with a certain amount of "Catholics" allowed, which was run by a Chief Constable brought over from from London, initially.

After he left, they replaced him, with a Chief Constable from the ranks of the disgraced RUC, to take charge, while British Sinn Fein's chief enforcer of 'outlaws and disorder' former IRA person, Gerry Kelly, ordered Irish people, to become informers to British Forces in Occupied Ireland.
There is a video below from the British Broadcasting Corporation, the leading presstitute of empire, which despite their spin, can give you an insight of the problem of such a force being run by goat lovers.

This coupled with MI5 procuring guns for informers, trainingg them to kill in Ballykinlar with letting them loose in society, with a licence to kill or kneecap, whoever they please, coupled with arranging a drug supply from the 'Lords of the Global Drug Trade' and false flags of political convenience, to discredit genuine, innocent, Irish republicans, which causes mayhem and confusion, all over the island, while lazy paramilitary police of the PSNI and MI5, sit back laughing at the intimidated communities bunkered down in fear. Iris, Willie and the Provos, collaborate in this racket as well.

Now if I were still living in Occupied Ireland, I can assure you, that I would either be dead, or politically interned , with some contrived accident or other, for writing about all of this, in such explicit terms. The general status of most of the population, living in fear of kneecappings, has made people very self-centered. To put it in a nutshell, the policy is to keep them terrorized, drunk, doped up and ignorant, with censorship, drugs, drink and religion.

This is what passes for a peace process, which in reality is a sick, secret, society of fear, with medication and ignorance, bred by rampant censorship and subsidized by the ordinary English taxpayer to the tune of 10 billion pounds annually. The British have indeed, mastered the dark arts of repression, while the fat cats of the 'terrorist narrative' budget grows annually, fuelled with fear. They usually will not censor Irish Blog directly but their West Brit agents will. They use intranets to slow it down sufficiently to prevent it being read in Ireland. If you disagree, with this analysis, I encourage you to do your own research and you can judge for yourself.

I suggest you start by watching their own BBC video below, while asking yourself the question, would you follow Kelly's orders and inform on your family and friends, who might be engaged in some form of resistance to British Occupation, to have them possibly assassinated or tried by a nonjury court?

Would you inform a a police force, headed by a Chief Constable, from the ranks of the former, murdering, disgraced RUC, who have framed the two young lads, in the picture heading this post, just like, they framed the innocent Guildford Four and put them away, for the rest of their lives, but for the persistence of a few good people, post Bloody Sunday, they would have all died in prison?

No amount of tinkering, with this scum, sectarian state, they like to call Northern Ireland, will make it a fit place, for civilised people to rear their children. I really tried as best I could, to keep my children away from politics, when I lived there, particularly, the drama of the hunger strike. When my second son was three or four, he went up to a British soldier on Hill Street and said, "When I grow up, I am going to shoot you, because you killed Bobby Sands."

I wanted my children to grow up in an Ireland, free from this British Dirty War, that destroyed my generation. It's not happening and I am angry, that after 45 years of "Dirty War," it still goes on, and it won't stop, until we find a better way. Young people will not change their tactics unless a better route such as International Standards of Justice are offered to them in Ireland.

British Sinn Fein won't do it, because like their paymasters, the British Government, they have too many dirty secrets and vested interests in the status quo. Martin McGuinness may waffle on about a united Ireland in the near future, but the butcher from Derry has no credibility left, with intelligent, people, who have been educated by their experience of Dirty War over the last forty-five years. He would be better oof in the House off Lords in London, beside his beloved assholes, where there are plenty of toilets to lick, the last time I checked.

I have no problem, standing before the International Criminal Court and abiding by civilised standards of International Justice. Who but the guilty, would have a problem with that? So Britain out with you war criminals, let's be having you. Who's afraid of the truth, none but the guilty? I am calling on any ethical political leadership, left in Ireland, to unite, like the Palestinian Authority and put Britain in the dock for crimes against humanity and genocide, committed in Ireland. I am asking you, dear reader, wherever you are in th world, whatever your nationality, to help yourself and them. It may be Ireland today but it may very well be you and yours, tomorrow, with these united snakes of False Flags and their Dirty Wars, crawling around the globe.

JE SUIS BLOODY SUNDAY Put Britain to ICC

Irish Blog has already attempted, to organize a Petition to bring Britain, before the International Criminal Court in the Hague, in the same way that the Palestinian Authority has taken Israel to the ICC. The Petition has been censored, as is Irish Blog, to a considerable extent, with intranets including Facebook, by British agents in Ireland. The Petition requires the same commitment, persistence and resistance to British interference in Ireland, as has the struggle of the last 45 years.

People with a proven track record of integrity, such as Bernadette, Marian, Eamon, Martin, Francie, Kate and others, some of whom are not permitted by the British, to leave their own neighbourhoods, might consider organizing this initially, by a conference call, with technical help. As respected elders, with considerable experience, they could guide the mobilization of the Petition worldwide, for the sake of Unity, to overcome British elements, which will seek to divide and distract the organization of this petition throughout Ireland. I propose this, as a totally peaceful, civilized, alternative step, on the path to Irish liberation.

A successful Petition to bring Britain before the ICC for crimes against humanity in Ireland, can only be organized and mobilized effectively by a genuine party of the Irish people on the ground in Ireland, with a proven track record of integrity. I am calling on people of integrity in Ireland, to form a group along the lines of the
H-BLOCK/ARMAGH COMMITTEE, to Petition, for Britain to be taken before the International Criminal Court in the Hague, for all it's war crimes, including genocide in Ireland, in the same manner as the Palestinian Authority is currently doing. Because of censorship, Irish Blog respectfully requests, that this proposal, is brought to the attention of those elders mentioned, for consideration by you, if you are acquainted with them. I believe this proposal, needs to transcend party politics, in order to be successful.

Bloody Sunday: Put Britain in the dock
I witnessed the events of Bloody Sunday and its violent legacy. The British government, not soldiers, should be held to account

Bernadette Devlin McAliskey

The outcome of the Saville inquiry has been published. A second British prime minister has apologised for the killing of unarmed and innocent protesters. This time the British government acknowledged the actions of members of the British army were unjustified and unjustifiable.

Prosecutions of individual foot soldiers are unlikely. Their own testimony cannot be used, and almost 40 years after the event, prosecution will raise a whole new series of concerns and debate about human rights violations oppressive litigation, and the application of the terms of the peace agreements. A respected human rights lawyer has already offered their services in prosecuting the real culprit, the British state. But Lord Saville has exonerated the state.

I was on the speaker's platform on Bloody Sunday. Despite burying the images in some deep mental archive, Bloody Sunday refuses to fade or mellow in my consciousness. Initially, disbelief gave way to fear, horror, anger, and then detachment. Finally, I was angry only with myself.

My political analysis had until then discounted any real belief – despite the long history of Anglo-Irish conflict – that the British government would countenance killing the people in order to suppress the protests. Now that it had happened, it made sense to me that it had always been going to happen and would continue; it was fundamental to the nature of the British state in Ireland. I felt I should have known that, and now I did, I was still up for the fight.

The key impact of Bloody Sunday was that a whole generation made a similar analysis and this fuelled some 25 years of violent political conflict, at least tolerated by the majority of the "minority population" and actively pursued by a significant but sustainable minority. It is responsibility for this legacy that sets Bloody Sunday apart from subsequent atrocities on all sides.

As a member of parliament at the time, I was denied the right to give parliament an eyewitness account. The home secretary,Reginald Maudling, lied to the House and the media willingly collaborated in uncritically repeating the government misrepresentation. In what was considered gross overreaction and disgracefully violent behaviour, I crossed the floor of the House and hit him.

I did not call for a public inquiry, did not welcome the Saville inquiry and only testified to respect the wishes of the bereaved families. I regret none of those things, but challenge the view that it was an expensive waste of time, energy and money. Had Bloody Sunday been no more than a violent and disgraceful overreaction or unlawful behaviour on the part of a few "squaddies" or overzealous commanders, it would not have required the British government and its military to create the complicated labyrinth of lies and deceit which has taken hundreds of testimonies, thousands of pages, millions of pounds and 38 years to unravel.

The Bloody Sunday Trust and the bereaved families have shown great stamina and courage in their quest for disclosure and truth. Respectfully, however, Bloody Sunday isn't just about the families or how the 13 individuals lost their lives that day; the 14th dying later of his wounds. It is about whether the British government committed a war crime in 1972 and in so doing started a war. It is the British government, not their anonymous and brutalised soldiers of their alphabet army who should be in the dock, at the international court of justice at The Hague. If Saville has closed that route to truth and justice, the British government will consider it worth every penny.

Had the British state been speedily held to account at The Hague, things might have been different for a lot of people, not least for nine Turkish human rights activists on their way to Gaza. They might not have been so confidently slaughtered by the state of Israel.

UNCOVERING BLOODY BRITISH GENOCIDE

Britain's sells a benign approach to foreign policy, which is contradicted by the reality on the ground, wherever it invades. Bloody Sunday in Derry, is only the tip of the iceberg, which evolved into British collusion with loyalist paramilitaries groups in Occupied Ireland, who  indiscriminately assassinated Catholics. This is well documented by Anne Calder's book Lethal Allies. This was further demonstrated, by the way the British Government doctored intelligence on weapons of mass destruction, misleading the House of Commoners, the whole country and indeed the world, of a non-existent threat, posed by Saddam Hussein, which is now being sexed down, in the delayed Chilcott Inquiry.
Britain's foreign policy, is essentially sugar coated deception and malevolence, under the cloak of non-existent democracy, peace, human rights which are their legacy, as Britain now supports terrorism, while violating international law and refusing to be a member of the International Criminal Court, where it would be obliged, to comply with international standards. Ireland being it's first colony, has been a primary training ground for genocide, war crimes and torture, as the European Court, found in the case of the hooded men. Footage of Bloody Sunday, is a more explicit example, of it's normally secret, war crimes
The British government have made this deceptive process an art form, cloaking the reality of their government policy, in propaganda and failing this, sanitizing their atrocities, in Inquiries like the Saville and Chilcott Inquiries. They have taught their proteges in Ireland this art too, to serve the interests of City of London, the Capital of International piracy. Contempt for International law continues, in their neo-colonial era of their Commonwealth, with non-compliance to these international standards of law, there as well. By creating regime change and mentoring compliant juntas, with their terrorist and pseudo-democratic narrative, perfected in Ireland, they install non-democratic regimes, as  they continue their tradition of piracy, for City of London interests, under a thin veneer of civilization, while the reality is brutal and criminally exploitive.
Of course none of this would be possible, without cultivating a bureaucracy of Britsh 'educated' prejudice, hypocrisy, privilege and elitism, that rationalizes the documented, substantiated, hard evidence of  former secret government files, in places like Occupied Ireland, Kosovo, Rwanda, Afghanistan, Iraq, Iran, Yemen, Kenya, Malaya and Oman. Their deception of genocide, war crimes and torture is there, for any objective researcher to see, as a result of painstaking research, analysis and declassified documents, in graphic detail, that is truly a shocking exposé of British genocide, war crimes and double-standards, that would make even Hitler turn in his grave. The current sick Chilcott joke on Iraq, remains, that he only has to look at the receipts of what the British Government sold Saddam, to know the precise truth, but then that's not the real purpose of British Inquiries, as we all know in Ireland. It's about the eternal deceit narrative of British international piracy, plunder and pillage, slaughtering in excess of the ten million, that already got in their way.
The World is systematically misinformed, about the real role of the UK in the world, with media, such as the BBC world service and mainstream corporate media, coupled with an old diplomatic service worldwide, of it's former overt empire, to ensure, the use of the terms like "genocide"or war crimes are not used, so that bodies like the UN, will not act, on matters such as the Irish Holocaust. Britain's slaughter of tens of millions of people worldwide, is buried, across the entire mainstream political discourse. Anyone who wishes to understand the reality of Britain's foreign policies, cannot rely on the mainstream media. The challenge of any objective historian or truth seeker, is to reconstruct real-life British history, from the self-serving web of British lies and deceit. This article is a call to those who wish to bring Imperial power to account and international standards of law. Britain needs to be brought to book at the International Criminal Court, in order to comply with civilized global standards, so that these crimes against humanity are halted, once and for all. Their latest terrorist narrative, requires freedom activists worldwide, to learn how to use our latest technology intelligently, to overcome censorship and disinformation, so that these crimes against humanity, are exposed to everyone.

LETS GET IT ON IN THE HAGUE JOHN BULL

John Bull was created by Dr. John Arbuthnot, a close friend of Jonathan Swift, Irish author of the satire, 'A Modest Proposal', in 1712. Arbuthnot created John Bull in his pamphlet, "Law is a Bottomless Pit ," in 1712. Arbuthnot gave John Bull a sister named Peg, who was Scottish and a French enemy called Louis Baboon. In those days, long before the internet, this was the basis of British establishment humour and entertainment, which evolved into their infamous satire magazine, called Punch, which created the Irish joke and cartoon, which entertained the elite of merry old England.

John Bull" from The Sketch Book; "A plain, downright, matter-of-fact fellow, with much less of poetry about him than rich prose. There is little of romance in his nature, but a vast deal of a strong natural feeling. He excels in humour more than in wit; is jolly rather than gay; melancholy rather than morose; can easily be moved to a sudden tear or surprised into a broad laugh; but he loathes sentiment and has no turn for light pleasantry. He is a boon companion, if you allow him to have his humour and to talk about himself; and he will stand by a friend in a quarrel with life and purse, however soundly he may be cudgelled."

A lot of this humour was used for political purposes by all political sides, similar to Charlie Hebdo satire in Paris. However it became mainstream in London, to the point that, The Times could boast in it's editorial, on their Irish Holocaust of six million, with establishment approval, that, "A Celt will soon be as rare on the banks of the Shannon as the red man on the banks of Manhattan." - The London Times, triumphant editorial of 1848. Some Irish, not suffering from Stockholm Syndrome are still a little irritated about this. There was however considerable debate among the British establishment, as to whether it might be better, to ship all of the Irish to America instead and employ them to kill all of the Negros which was commented on by British historian Edward Freeman, writing on his return from America. 'This would be a grand land if only every Irishman would kill a Negro, and be hanged for it. I find this sentiment generally approved - sometimes with the qualification, that they want Irish and Negroes for servants, not being able to get any other.

Now it appears after the "Special Relationship" meeting yesterday, between the two burgers Obama and British PM Cameron, that Obama has not done his research on Perfidious Albion, as the more educated French have, who received further lessons from Charlie Hebdo.  If some of these British had their way, more than half of Obama's ancestors would have been liquidated too, like the Irish and we would have a white woman in the White House. Now I have nothing against Hilary Rodham, unfortunately, other than possible WASP ancestry but Rodham is not of blue blooded stock, so no problem Hilary, you can be on top.

Some people say I have a resentment against the English, which is not true. My best friend is as English as the come and we disagree considerably in political matters. I would say, this is generallytrue of most Irish people. When it comes to Royalty and the City of London elite, yes there are a few issues which enter the realm of Buddha's mosquitos. I was taught, that the process of forgiveness and reconciliation, requires a sincere apology and acknowledgement for harm done and then a form of restitution. Now if you happen to visit the original constituencies of Gerry Adams and Martin McGuinness, just to begin with, which incidentally, suffer even greater deprivation and poverty, since they came to power, you will find thousands of people, who have serious issues with the elite of the City of London.

The subject of holocausts, genocide and ethnic cleansing, is a source of great amusement and entertainment to the British elite, to this day, to the point, that they have with perfidious black humour, commissioned a writer of Anglo-Irish stock, fattened on the vacant lands of the Irish Holocaust victims, to produce a comedy series, on one of their principal channels. Now being a little mosquito bitten myself, I took it upon myself, to start a petition on the very empowering Care2 Network, to have the International Criminal Court, adjudicate this matter, and deal with it, in a civilized way. The first day, there were 59 good people who signed and one on each two days subsequently, there after none.

I have proposed this course of action to try to achieve justice, and I have proposed it as an alternative, to more militant forms of achieving social justice. Last time I checked there was not a single signatory in Ireland. Frankly I was not surprised from a lifetimes' experience of both British and west British censorship, to find this to be the case. I am seeking a peaceful resolution of these outstanding issues, as I believe there is clear evidence, that violence is self-defeating. So either all of the island of Ireland has Stockholm Syndrome or British censorship is extremely effective but guarantees even more violence. You see there is no money in the truth or peacefully resolving issues related to both state counter gang terrorism or the causes of violence. It's like ancient medicine, using leeches to heal the anaemico or bloodletting for varicose veins.

Obama and Cameron there is one minor problem with Genocide. It is carried in the bloodstream DNA of generations thereafter, like some mosquito-borne malaria or dengue fever, and has consequence like, these never ending wars in your terrorist narrative of yesterday. I was reared on your expensive diet of the Cold War and subsequently your Terrorist Wars, which conveniently keep your prefix of United attached to Kingdom and States behind never eternal wars that generate trillions from your taxpayers, for your, oh so profitable war complex industries. The collective memory of your genocide, simply doesn't go away you know.

If you cannot see the ICC Petition above this article, in your respective country, then it is censored. Are there any sisters and brothers of Hilary out there, who might Care2 help?

ICC opens initial probe into possible war crimes in Palestinian territories

Step could lead to charges against Israeli and Palestinian officials; FM Lieberman calls to dismantle International Criminal Court.

The prosecutor of the International Criminal Court says she has opened a preliminary probe into possible war crimes in the Palestinian territories.

Fatou Bensouda said in a statement Friday she will conduct the preliminary examination in "full independence and impartiality."

The announcement comes after the Palestinian Authority acceded to the court's founding treaty and recognized its jurisdiction dating back to the eve of last summer's Gaza war.

Potential cases Bensouda could take on include allegations of war crimes by Israel during last summer's Gaza war where the Palestinians suffered heavy civilian casualties. Israel's settlement construction on occupied Palestinian lands could also be examined.

The cases could also include alleged war crimes by Hamas, which controls Gaza, including the firing of thousands of rockets at Israeli residential areas from crowded neighborhoods.

The prosecutor's announcement comes after the Palestinian Authority acceded to The Hague-based court's founding treaty and recognized its jurisdiction dating back to July, the eve of the last Gaza war.

Israel is not a member of the court.

A preliminary examination is not an investigation, but weighs information about possible crimes and jurisdiction issues to establish whether a full investigation is merited. It is unclear how long the preliminary examination might take. Bensouda said "there are no timelines" set in the court's founding treaty.

Palestinian Foreign Minister Riad Malki welcomed the move and said the Palestinian Authority would cooperate.

"The Palestinian people called upon us to go to court and ask for an investigation and therefore we consider the announcement today as a historic event," he said.

Netanyahu: PA cooperates with terror organization Hamas

"Israel categorically rejects the statement by the ICC prosecutor" a statement issue by the bureau of Prime Minister Netanyahu said in response, adding that "The Palestinian Authority is not a state and therefore there is no place, also according to the ICC's own regulations, for such a probe."

"The absurdity of the decision is even greater since the PA is cooperating with Hamas, a terrorist organization that commits war crimes," the statement said, adding that unlike Hamas, "Israel is fighting terrorism while upholding international law and has an independent judiciary."

The decision by the ICC, the prime minister said, was a "complete reversal of the original objectives that were at the basis of the founding of the ICC," which was also founded "following the mass killing of six million Jews by the Nazis." Now, Netanyahu said, there are those who "wish to use this court against the Jewish state, which is defending itself from murderous terror that attack it as well as the entire world."

Netanyahu also said that, "unfortunately, the move turns the court into part of the problem, rather than part of the solution," Netanyahu concluded. "It's a scandalous that only days after terrorists slaughtered Jews in Paris ... the ICC opens an inquiry against the Jewish state, and only because it defends its citizens against Hamas, a terrorist organization that is partnered with the Palestinian Authority."

Lieberman: Israel will seek ICC's dismantle

Describing the court's statement as hypocritical and supportive of terror, Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman the decision was "scandalous," stemmed political and anti-Israel motives and was an attempt to "harm Israel's right to defend itself against terror." He added that Israel would take international action to have the ICC dismantled.

He said that the fact the court had not found it necessary to intervene in Syria, despite the over 200,000 deaths in that country's civil war, but sees a need to "examine the most moral in the world" proves the decision was motivated by "political and anti-Israel considerations."

Lieberman said that it was impossible to compare the Israel Defense Forces, which "does everything possible to avoid harming innocents," with "terror organizations which fire from areas populated by civilians against areas populated by other civilians."

"We won't accept it and I will recommend that we don't cooperate with it," Lieberman said.

The Palestinian Authority two weeks ago officially submitted to the United Nations the request to join 22 international treaties, including the Rome Statute, the founding treaty of the ICC.

The applications were signed by Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas following the failure of a Palestinian statehood bid at the UN Security Council.

In response to the Palestinian request to join the court at The Hague, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Israel expects the ICC to reject the Palestinian application due to the fact that it is not a state.

Israel retaliated to the Palestinian move to join the ICC by freezing the transfer of more than $100 million a month in taxes it collects for the Palestinians.

The prosecutor is currently conducting eight preliminary examinations in Honduras, Ukraine, Iraq, Afghanistan, Colombia, Georgia, Guinea and Nigeria. Some have been going on for years.

Judges at the court must approve any request by the prosecution office for a full investigation.

Established in 2002, the court has struggled to live up to high expectations that it would end impunity for high-ranking perpetrators of atrocities in conflicts around the globe.

It has completed only three trials, ending in two convictions and an acquittal, all of rebel leaders from the Democratic Republic of Congo.

The court has no police force to secure crime scenes, gather evidence and arrest suspects and has repeatedly had trouble gaining custody of indicted suspects such as Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir, who has been charged
with genocide in the conflict-torn Darfur region of his country.

CALL FOR ICC IRISH HOLOCAUST INVESTIGATION & CEASEFIRE

Irish Blog requests the International Criminal Court, to immediately initiate an investigation into the Irish Holocaust and the British genocide of six milliom people in Ireland. We believe the the ICC Prosecutor has a reasonable basis to believe, that a crime against humanity, within Irelamd and the Court's juristiction exists and that both war crimes and a genocide has been committed against Irish people. We believe that an investigation, would be consistent, with the principles of International justice. We furnish the following preliminary evidence, as a basis for an immediate investigation. Irish Blog seeks the support, of all Irish people and political parties, to empower the prosecution of this investigation. We urge all Irish people and political parties, to examine carefully the following preliminary investigation in the link below and mentor the request, that both Irish and British Governments make available, all relevant material, within their juristictions, to help the International Criminal Court arrive at a fair, just, settlement with appropriate restitution to any victim or their next of kin, primarily to prevent a re-occurrence of these crimes against humanity and that all parties recognize, the gravity and consequence of genocide and holocaust. Irish Blog also requests, a ceasefire, by all military  and paramilitary forces in Ireland, until this matter, is thoroughly investigated and adjudicated,
