With the internment of the Chairperson of the Irish Anti-Internment League, Dee Fennell, and the privatization of Irish Water, neither our rivers or speech, are any longer free. In fact a monkey in the US, has more Civil Rights, than an Irish person in Occupied Ireland, almost 45 years after the start of the Civil Rights Campaign there. Certainly with regard to Habeus Corpus and Free Speech, this is the case, as both articles below, demonstrate. I have been banned today myself, despite not being affiliated, to any political group, by Facebook, because British Agents are both censoring and carrying out a campiagn of harrassment, with numerous complaints to Facebook and group managers there. Irish Blog is being slowed by intranets, to the point, some people give up on access. However, there are still the faithful, for which I am grateful. Statement by the President of Republican Sinn Féin Des Dalton

The arrest, detention charges and remand for Dee Fennell speech in Lurgan Easter Sunday is an attack on the fundamental right to have and express a political opinion as set out in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights UN and the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights.This is a stark warning that both the British and the 26 counties states are determined to silence anyone who dares to question the status quo or express their opposition to British rule and partition. Last August the Minister of Justice of the 26 counties announced draconian new laws designed to silence and imprison Republicans for expressing a political opinion. Now the Stormont regime is moving along the same path. These measures can also be extended to cover all forms of political dissent, whether political, social or economic. People need to be warned against this and say it.Bodies of civil and political rights must protest against this gratuitous attack on the human rights of Irish citizens. When the centenary of the 1916 Rising fast approaching, it is obvious that the British puppet regime in Stormont is trying to silence the Irish Republicanism and take underground. Such coercive methods have failed in the past as this effort will also fail. Fin / Crioch

Apes are people too? NY judge grants human rights to chimpanzees

Chimpanzee and human DNA differ by only about 1 percent – but should chimps be given human rights? A US judge said "yes" on Monday, ruling that apes held at a New York university are covered by the same laws that let humans challenge their detention.

New York Supreme Court Justice Barbara Jaffe said a pair of chimpanzees held at Stony Brook University are covered by a writ of habeas corpus – a legal principle that lets people challenge the credibility of their detention. The duo, named Hercules and Leo, reside at the university for research purposes.

The lawsuit against the university was originally filed by the Nonhuman Rights Project in December 2013, in an attempt to free Hercules, Leo, and two other chimpanzees living on private property.

The courts threw out the suit, but the group has been appealing ever since, receiving a victory on Monday after convincing Jaffe that the apes are sufficiently intelligent enough to be covered under habeas corpus.

The verdict has allowed for a Stony Brook University representative to be ordered to appear in court to provide a legally acceptable reason for detaining Hercules and Leo. That hearing has been scheduled for May 6.

During the hearing, the university will respond to a petition by the animal rights group which argues that Hercules and Leo should be set free and moved to a sanctuary.

“The NhRP (Nonhuman Rights Project) has asked that Hercules and Leo be freed and released into the care of Save the Chimps, a sanctuary in Ft. Pierce, Florida. There they will spend the rest of their lives primarily on one of 13 artificial islands on a large lake in Ft. Pierce, along with 250 other chimpanzees in an environment as close to that of their natural home in Africa as can be found in North America,” the Nonhuman Rights Project wrote on its website.

However, it remains unclear whether the chimps will actually be freed.

Richard Cupp, a law professor at Pepperdine University, cautioned against reading too much into the ruling.

“The judge may merely want more information to make a decision on the legal personhood claim, and may have ordered a hearing simply as a vehicle for hearing out both parties in more depth,” he wrote in an email to Science. “It would be quite surprising if the judge intended to make a momentous substantive finding that chimpanzees are legal persons if the judge has not yet heard the other side’s arguments.”

Regardless of whether the apes are granted personhood after the hearing, the group says it plans on using the ruling as precedent in future cases.

“This is a big step forward to getting what we are ultimately seeking: the right to bodily liberty for chimpanzees and other cognitively complex animals,”Natalie Prosin, executive director of the Nonhuman Rights Project, told the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS).

“We got our foot in the door. And no matter what happens, that door can never be completely shut again.”

A similar ruling was made in Argentina last year, with orangutans being granted the status of “non-human persons” with legal rights.

However, the verdict contradicts a separate New York ruling made just four months ago, when a court stated that a chimpanzee is not legally a person and therefore not entitled to human rights.

ORANGE ORDER GOAT SEX THREAT TO WORLD HEALTH

Craigavon must transcend politics and borders, according to Professor Piot, in the Davos at the World Economic Forum, in Davos, Switzerland. Craigavon is a burrough in what the Orange Order, call Northern Ireland, where many people have apparently died of Aids, allegedly because Orangemen ride goats in their initiation ceremony, as one Orageman today admitted off the record, that they give their attention to goats, because they think practising bestiality, is the safest way to avoid getting the disease, and that these accusations come, after a vote this week, to fly the Union Flag over council offices every day of the year.

However members of Societies for the Prevention of Cruelty Against Animals, have appealed to people in Craigavon, to come forward with any information. Locals report that Orangemen are now excusing their activity in the north, to have sex with goats, to avoid getting Aids. Other admissions were made from the apprentice boys off the record, which has been broadcast all over Craigavon, despite any official complaints. Bestiality should be a a criminal offence in the Burrough of Craigavon and charges should be laid under criminal procedure, in terms of animals protection, said one resident in Lurgan, because we don't want our daughters consorting with Orangemen who practice bestiality. She said convictions should be obtained for bestiality, offenders imprisoned and taken off the streets for the sake our daughters. She made an appeal to anyone with information on bestiality, to come forward. 

She wished to remain anonymous, because of sectarian fears, but stressed that charges can only proceed against the Orange Order, when sufficient information is available, to prove beyond reasonable doubt, that this is part of Orange culture. While the Orangeman interviewed, admitted he considered bestiality as safe sex, that he and his brethern had sex with goats up to five times a week. We know all about Aids and ebola, and we are very afraid of it. That is the biggest reason we have sex with goats and most of us like a bit of variety. Goats do not have Aids, but some of our wives have, because we have discovered, that many of them have, as a result of having different toy boys, with many of them coming from Dublin. 

We have seen brethern dying from aids and other diseases, not because of our goats, but because they slept with one another, and infected each other and swapped their wives, who already got it from Dublin. Goats do not have these infections, we would prefer have sex with them. I'm not sick, while I have been accused of being a carrier, but there is nothing I can give to goats or goats can give me. We will not become infected, because our goats were all virgins when we started. We share the same goat only among ourselves, and we will not get other's diseases from Dublin.

However the woman from Lurgan, said these statements, reveal a lack of education, and that Craigavon Council, should launch an information campaign, in the affected areas of Craigavon. Education and prosecution are the key to solving this problem, which originated with the Orange Order. She stated, that we cannot move forward as a Community, without co-operation from the Orange Order and information from their members. We are deeply concerned that the Orangemen, have repeatedly stated, that their reasons for having sex with goats, is to avoid Aids, when the reality is, that it is part of their culture, fostered by the Orange Order for centuries. She suggested urgency by Craigavon Council is needed, to correct this myth. 

The practice also affects goat farming in other areas of the north. Goat owners in south Armagh, complain, that nobody wants to buy goats from the north anymore. Again off the record because of sectarian fears, he stated, that we have learned, these rumours are true and Irish people, do not want to be associated with Orange Order goats. No one in their right mind wants anything to do with them or their cheese or goat milk because they have been contaminated by Willie. I will have to destroy all my goats, he complained. While the Belgian professor in Davos stated:

"Our world is getting more vulnerable to big epidemics, because of population expansion, huge mobility and more intense contact between animals and people,said Prof Peter Piot at the World Economic Forum, in Davos, urging encouraging leaders to take a long-term view. Prof Piot is in charge of the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine.

He said, the threat of Ebola, and other infectious diseases like influenza and Sars, are to be discussed in Switzerland this week, adding "I bet everything I have that there will be other outbreaks. My concern is that when the Ebola outbreak is over we will just forget about it. We need to be better prepared and we need to invest in vaccines and treatment, It's like a fire brigade, you don't start to set up a fire brigade when some house is on fire.


Prof Piot said "There is always tension between the sovereignty of a country and the need to fight epidemics because they are a risk for the world as a whole, so in economic terms, it's a global public good. However Prof Piot, did have some good news to share, particularly for the wives of the Orange Order, adding that he was delighted by the Ebola vaccine trials, currently happening. The Orange Order were not available for comment but one of them, became rather abusive, when asked for an interview, and told our reporter to, F###  off down to Killorglin and investigate what they were doing to the goats down there.

ANIMAL RIGHTS HUMAN TORTURE OLYMPIC LONDON 2012

Animals are spiritually aware, sensitive to energy fluctuation of both emotional and cerebral intelligence, who are completely underestimated by insensitive humans, who are the earth's worst killers. Many animal species are highly evolved souls, who experience life in animal bodies, with far more wisdom and spiritual clarity, than most humans. Animals can enhance our relationship with all life, which is vital in our individual journey into more evolved vibrations, where cruelty of any kind does not exist. Without the spiritual awakening of those dedicated to improving the lives of animals, we cannot as a species make progress to the fourth dimension.

Dogs, cats, horses, birds, reptiles, rabbits, chickens, etc., deserve respect and honour in our daily life. They have a vibration of high frequency love, which they share unconditionally. We can all experience this depth of love and caring from animals. They can touch everyone with their sweetness, sensitivities, loving eyes and warm souls. We can all experience daily the abundance they bring, with mutual devotion.The English are generally known for their relatively good standards of animal care. They also have a code of laws with considerable animal rights.

However the Tories want war again in Ireland, to further develop their industrial war complex. Currently in London 2012, animals have far more rights than humans and its not just the Irish. Britain blasted the Beijing Olympic's for their human rights record. The fact is, Britain's human rights record is far, far worse. They engineered a holocaust, that ethnically cleansed Ireland of 6 million of its people. Ireland was their first colony as they invaded most of the world like pirates with barbarity and savagery, on a scale China is not remotely guilty of. Britain's endless blood thirsty wars, have been on a scale that animals are far too evolved to contemplate.

Strange then as the Olympics of London 2012 descend upon us, that England has dumped their centuries old Magna Carta, with their spooky rulers now having the power, to shred without investigation their majesty's royal  prerogatives and overrule her judiciary with scorn, while ignoring the former human rights protections of habeas corpus writs. Strange that such a civilized people also ignore international human rights. Marian Price being but one of hundreds, kidnapped, tortured and interned without trial, often in solitary confinement for years on end in British Occupied Ireland.

Britain has already been found guilty of torture with internment in British Occupied Ireland and promised to cease their brutality but they are at it again, giving the finger to a peace process, hellbent with daily human rights abuses, designed to provoke the Irish and others into retaliation. It's big business all round, with swollen bureaucratic budgets and an arms industry needing to showcase and test their big toys for the small boys of their commonwealth natives. Ask immigrants, ask Julian Assange, currently hiding from the British injustice system, holed up in the Ecuador Embassy, with Britain refusing to grant him the same human rights afforded to the Chinese dissident recently, in the American embassy.
